Job Description

What’s in it for you?

  • SA+ leadership role with genuine autonomy and direct decision-maker access
  • Front-end + back-end mix, plus project management and Principal-side advisory
  • Strong pipeline linked to social housing and First Nations landholding groups

About your new employer:

  • High-end boutique with a genuine premium brand in Real Estate + Hotels
  • Small team so you’re not buried in layers, you’re close to the work and the clients
  • Strong, long-standing client relationships and a reputation for being commercial, pragmatic, and easy to deal with
  • Deep connections into major projects, including social housing and work linked to First Nations landholding groups
  • Excellent platform for someone who wants to build something, be visible, and be trusted with responsibility
  • Hands-on leadership style with quick decision-making and a “get it done properly” approach

About the role:

  • Senior role to lead Construction and reduce the need to brief work externally
  • Meaningful existing workflow, plus a consistent annual stream that can be captured in-house
  • Day-to-day work includes:
  • Front-end drafting and negotiation (construction / projects documentation, procurement support)
  • Back-end strategy and dispute management (claims, variations, EOT, defects, negotiation/settlement)
  • Principal-side risk and delivery advice throughout the project lifecycle
  • Project oversight: coordinating stakeholders, keeping matters moving, practical problem-solving
  • Cross-over files where Construction intersects with Real Estate + Hotels assets

The ideal candidate:

  • SA+ level with solid construction experience (projects, disputes, or both)
  • Comfortable leading files and being the go-to person for clients
  • Strong commercial instincts and practical approach (not overly academic)
  • Confident drafting, negotiating, and advising under time pressure
  • Interest in social housing / First Nations projects is a plus, not a requirement
